This anal douche consists of three pieces:1. A thick-walled red rubber bulb about 4″ long and 3″ in diameter;2. A rigid black plastic insert for the rubber bulb with a narrow nozzle; and3. A rigid black plastic douche nozzle attachment that slips over the narrow-nozzled insert. This nozzle has a loose tapered “skirt” that can slide up and down to facilitate cleaning. The unit is assembled by fitting the douche nozzle attachment over the narrow nozzle coming from the bulb. It’s a friction fit but it seems to hold well. The bulb must then be filled with warm (not hot) water by squeezing the bulb then dipping it into a basin filled with water and releasing the bulb, allowing the water to be drawn in. Generally it takes a couple of rounds to get the bulb completely full. Between the first and second round, air is removed by holding the unit so that the nozzle is facing up, then squeezing the bulb until water begins to come out. Without releasing the pressure on the bulb, the tip is again dipped into the water, and then the bulb is released to complete the job of filling the bulb. The tip of the douche nozzle is rounded, perhaps 3/4″ in diameter, with a smooth blunt tip. Lubrication is highly desirable for insertion. A pump-style lube dispenser such as found on makes it much easier to apply the lube. You just need a dollop on the very end. Then gently insert the douche nozzle while bending at the waist, and squeeze the bulb to spray the water inside you. Keep the bulb squeezed while removing the nozzle and put the nozzle back under the water in the basin, then release the bulb to refill it.The design of this unit seems to do a decent job of cleaning. The water comes out of a slot the encircles the middle, or “equator,” of the ball at the end of the nozzle. This tends to spray the water around your insides and may help loosen things. I have found that two or three rinsings with this unit is plenty. The volume of water held by the bulb is more than enough for regular “inside and out” cleaning. It is undesirable to take in too much water when doing this, because excess water can be pushed up beyond the rectum into the colon, where it may stay only to be released an hour or two later . . . which defeats the whole purpose of this cleaning. It really doesn’t take a whole lot of water to do a perfectly fine job of cleaning up. And water is the only thing that should be used: The rectal walls will quickly absorb any kind of chemical that goes in there, which could be unhealthy.Clean-up is easy, as long as you have used water-soluble lube (as you should because an oil-based lube will eventually cause the rubber bulb to deteriorate). I first remove the douche nozzle and clean it with soap and hot water, and set it out to air-dry. I then remove the inner nozzle from the bulb, clean it the same way, rinse out and empty the bulb, and lay them out also to air-dry.Because of the size of this unit, it will be conspicuous in any drawer or medicine cabinet. You will probably need to find a suitable place to store it where inquiring eyes (like visitors or housemates) won’t run across it.This unit works just fine for its advertised purpose. I confess that I don’t always use it; often I just use the empty bottle from a disposable drugstore enema (dumping out the solution and using only plain water). This doesn’t give the deep insertion and “spraying” effect of the unit reviewed here, but it tends to be enough. For important occasions, though, this anal douche unit does a nice job.

This is perfect for what I wanted. I like to keep myself clean in and out and this does a very nice job for me. I have used it many times and it still works like new. I use a water soluble lube with this which makes it very comfortable to use.As an Amazon Prime member this qualified for free two day shipping and arrived on time.

Pros: (1) The double-wand design allows for clean refills when squeezing the bulb. (2) Outer wand is easy to clean. (3) Bulb is a nice size. (4) The sideways water stream reduces the chance of water getting to your colon and triggering a BM. (Douching is not an enema.) (5) Price.Cons: (1) The edge on the outer nozzle could be smoother. (2) The nozzle on the outer wand may seem too large for some but…the trick is not to force it. Lube the nozzle and anus, then apply light pressure and flex your sphincter to draw the nozzle in. With a little practice, it becomes easy.

The attachment was nice, though part of the tip of it was jagged and not really needed for me like I thought. It works very well though with just the small nozzle, deep enough and plenty of pressure to make it effective and pleasurable.

Title says it all. Made nice. Great pressure and very little to no leakage. Just use lots of warm water and soap.

There really isn’t much to say about this product. It worked for what I bought it for. I used it for an enema.

I have been looking for a syringe bulb type douche for travel, at home I use an attachment I have hooked up to the bath. Well, I think this is about aas nice as you are going to get. I, personally like to use A LOT of water, and this bulb fills up pretty well. I usually only have to fill this a couple of times to clean out completely. At home, I will remain loyal to my shower attachment…but in times of need, this works. One word of advice, make sure that the sink and the toilet are in the same room. In some older bed and breakfast the toilet and the sink are sometimes separate (I mean two different rooms!) and it’s a little embarrassing to walk between the toilet room and the sink room to refill and clean.

This is a must if you are going to insert anything in the backdoor. Cleans out great so you have a mess to clean up later.
