Since it says “silver rod” in the description, I was expecting this to be metal. I was highly disappointed to see that it wasn’t.It is made of a thick, clear plastic with metal on the inside.I like that it uses AA batteries.If my feelings change towards it, I’ll update the review. As it is, I doubt I will use this much.Update: So we tried it and it serves its purpose like any other toy out there. But I’m still not impressed because of the plastic. Metal would be much more enjoyable.I did upgrade it one star but that’s the max this little rod will get out of me. I think for the price you could get a better one. This should be $5 cheaper. Not that it costs a lot but there are better options out there for the money. I’m just saying–look around at other options.

Pros: Its not as heavy as I was expecting given the metal chain under the clearcoat, but its heavy enough. What’s surprising is how powerful this thing is…and it’s a touch loud, but it’s to be expected with said power. Waterproof makes it easier to clean. Shape and size are nice. I like it.Cons: If there is a “con” to its the base, where the dial is. I suspect a fall in the shower (waterproof after all) would damage how the cap attaches and/or break the waterproof seal needed to protect the electronics. I think the dial could use a touch more resistance so it doesn’t get bumped so easily and would fit the heavy-duty look better. I also wonder the the clear coat will yellow/oxidize with time. No major complaints though.Bottom line, it’s a nice price which makes any potential problems insignificant. If it breaks after a few months of use, buy another, no biggie. I’m quite pleased with it and recommend it to other guys or gals.

Perfect for the androgynous female. Bought as a gift for a more masculine female. Needless to say she loved it.

This works well, easy to use, has rapid vibrations. I would have wanted something a bit smaller, but this still works for me.
